Marianne

Hi, I am Marianne. I am a storyteller, a jokester and someone who enjoys photography.

You won't find many pictures of me in front of the camera because I love working behind the scenes. Doug is the actor, whereas I am the filmmaker of the show.

I am a music junkie. I like to listen to music whether in the car, on my iPod or creating my own on the piano. I enjoy singing and dancing to music. One of my personal favorites is German techno something I learned to love, when I lived in Germany as a nanny.


Some of my favorite memories, are dancing with my friends in college. We would run from the country line dance, to the hip hop dance and follow it up with some classical rock.

These are a few of my favorite things:

1. Yellow Roses....I first received a yellow rose when I was eight. I love to have them around our house because they seem so ornate.

2. Baking and Cooking:....I try my best to make what's healthiest. From homemade pot pies, to lasagna that's memorized, the time sure flies when I make a dinner dish to surprise.

3. Running......one step at a time, I take each pace, not to win the race, but just finish with grace. I know that I will never be a "hare" but me as a "tortoise" can still muster the courage to leave them all speechless.

How would Doug describe Marianne?

Marianne is a tender-hearted woman with much love to give. She enjoys music and making up little ditties about what she’s doing at the moment. She has an amazing memory and an ability to observe. This ability helps her see when there’s a need. She reaches out and gives her all to help and serve others.

Marianne is fun and active. She can beat me at Dance Dance Revolution every time. She loves spending time outdoors and playing sports. She’s got a competitive streak that drives her to succeed. This gives her the determination to get through the hard times, whether on the court or just in life.

Intelligence and organization are traits that make Marianne shine. She seems to come up with solutions that are both creative and practical.

How is Marianne a great mom?

Marianne is a hard worker. And let’s face it – raising a child is hard work. Add to that Marianne’s nurturing disposition and you’ve got a perfect mom combo.

Marianne is a good teacher. She can teach kids and adults and knows how to sculpt the message to the student. She can even communicate with her thirteen year old brother.

Marianne knows how to play. She knows how to relax and enjoy the moment. She creates a comfortable environment and puts people at ease.
